Guiratinga's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SafarijoeSports the free kick. Raí Catarinense hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 23rd minute of the match, Jerônimo Fernandes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gilvan Gomes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With his leg Gilvan Gomes managed to avoid a goal in the 30thth minute, when Guiratinga's Magno Cabral fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Guiratinga booed when SafarijoeSports was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vinícius Tepedino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilvan Gomes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vitório Breckenfeld in the 35th minute. After a rather tough play, SafarijoeSports's Reynaldo Peixoto got a free kick in the 37th minute. Gilvan Gomes made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Vitório Breckenfeld sent off a good shot on target. Gilvan Gomes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vitório Breckenfeld in the 42nd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Guiratinga's Vitório Breckenfeld slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gilvan Gomes. That made the score 2-0 after 46 minutes of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jerônimo Fernandes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Raí Catarinense took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gilvan Gomes. Gilvan Gomes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Magno Cabral in the 61st minute of play forced SafarijoeSports's goalkeeper Gilvan Gomes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SafarijoeSports's Gilvan Gomes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerônimo Fernandes in the 62nd minute of play. In the 67th minute, Vinícius Tepedino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Magno Cabral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the SafarijoeSports defense, Jerônimo Fernandes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gilvan Gomes. The SafarijoeSports fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gilvan Gomes should have stopped the shot. 77 minutes into the game, Gualter Ceresso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Gilvan Gomes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Moisés Jacinto struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Juvenal Valadares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SafarijoeSports. Gilvan Gomes was left in no man's land by his defense there! There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Guiratinga fully deserved thier win.
