With a couple of smart ball manuevers Evandro Mineiro in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benjamin Barral saved Lacio from getting behind. Jairo Barral struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Benjamin Barral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jatei. Evandro Mineiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zé Augusto da Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Barral having to interfere. If Ruy Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ruy Carvalho to make the kick off. If Olavo Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice moves Olavo Mendes could shoot a difficult shot in the 71st minute, which Humberto Andrade however easily saved by the left post. After a rather tough play, Jatei's Flavinho Galvão got a free kick in the 74th minute. Humberto Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruy Carvalho in the 75th minute of the match. In the 77th match minute, Lacio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tony Borges to maneuver through the defense. 80 minutes into the game, Flavinho Galvão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jatei's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lacio the free kick. In the 80th minute, Flavinho Galvão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olavo Mendes came free with the goalkeeper in the 88th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Humberto Andrade could save by the left post. In the 96thth minute of the game Ruy Carvalho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jatei's Humberto Andrade was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Jatei supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Lacio's performance. The match ended with a win for Lacio.
