Caio Cosme was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Caio Cosme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juvenal Motta, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 8th minute, Durval Paraíba made a precise shot to the right of Caio Cosme. Flamengo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 20 minutes into the match, Flamengo's goal looked a bit too open when Durval Paraíba came free, but Caio Cosme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Favoretto in the 21st minute of play forced Flamengo's goalkeeper Caio Cosme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 26 minutes, Durval Paraíba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Micool's supporters crossed their fingers, but Durval Paraíba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leopoldo Favoretto kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the game, Micool's Durval Paraíba nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Caio Cosme made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Fellipe Pimenta hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Durval Paraíba in the 38th minute of play forced Flamengo's goalkeeper Caio Cosme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caio Cosme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juvenal Motta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juvenal Motta in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Caio Cosme saved Flamengo from getting behind. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Durval Paraíba made a kick off. Caio Cosme stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juvenal Motta's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Juvenal Motta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Caio Cosme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61st minute Juvenal Motta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caio Cosme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 62nd minute, João Paulo Paulista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juvenal Motta in the 67th minute of play forced Flamengo's goalkeeper Caio Cosme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Durval Paraíba could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Caio Cosme made a huge save. If Durval Paraíba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caio Cosme made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Durval Paraíba sent off a good shot on target. 79 minutes into the game, Ronaldinho Mandrak was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Flamengo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Micool the free kick. The supporters of Micool booed when Flamengo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldinho Mandrak didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Micool fans' excitement grew in the 81st match minute when Micool's Juvenal Motta looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Flamengo's Luiz Fábio Bittencourt got a free kick in the 85th minute. In the 86th minute, Micool's Durval Paraíba dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. 90 minutes into the game, Juvenal Motta recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Caio Cosme. Juvenal Motta showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. In the 95th minute, Juvenal Motta reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Caio Cosme. The goal made the score 0-7. When the final whistle sounded Micool left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Flamengo.
