Spectators: 7168 (Terracing: 5378, Seating: 1648, VIP seats: 142) After a defensive mix-up in Jatei's zone, Ronaldinho Mandrak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Humberto Andrade came out of the goal and Ronaldinho Mandrak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldinho Mandrak in the 11th minute of play forced Jatei's goalkeeper Humberto Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Humberto Andrade stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ronaldinho Mandrak's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Caio Cosme made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Jairo Barral sent off a good shot on target. Caio Cosme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evandro Mineiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Evandro Mineiro in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Caio Cosme prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 26th minute Ronaldinho Mandrak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Flamengo's Caio Cosme got control of the ball when Jairo Barral tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jairo Barral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Caio Cosme read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Caio Cosme was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Durval Teixeira. The crowd rose to their feet as Jatei's Evandro Mineiro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Caio Cosme. That made the score 1-0 after 46 minutes of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Evandro Mineiro scored 2-0 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Caio Cosme, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Humberto Andrade made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Ronaldinho Mandrak sent off a good shot on target. Evandro Mineiro took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Caio Cosme. Caio Cosme dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. When the match clock showed 74 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Jairo Barral sped through Flamengo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Caio Cosme. If Haroldo Sanches had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evandro Mineiro in the 85th minute of play forced Flamengo's goalkeeper Caio Cosme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Flamengo getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Fellipe Pimenta hit a great ball. Caio Cosme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evandro Mineiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Flamengo's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
