Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gilmar Alves started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute Durval Paraíba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sidnei Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sidnei Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Durval Paraíba in the 6th minute of the match. The attack was good, but when Juvenal Motta in the 7th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 9 minutes into the match, Juvenal Motta notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of JL Sport Clube's Sidnei Santos. Sidnei Santos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sidnei Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Durval Paraíba in the 15th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miguel da Fonseca got free with Nelsinho de Almeida in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of JL Sport Clube booed when Micool was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ismael Nóbrega didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilmar Alves struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Nelsinho de Almeida didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for JL Sport Clube. Zé Paulo Maia kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. A collision led to Micool getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Jonathan Recife hit a great ball. In the 30th minute of the match Kléberson Guerra shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nelsinho de Almeida showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 33 minutes, Bruninho Neiva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the JL Sport Clube and the Micool players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, JL Sport Clube's Bruninho Neiva got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Durval Paraíba scored 0-2 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sidnei Santos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 0-3 became the score in the 37th minute when Juvenal Motta elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Sidnei Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juvenal Motta in the 43rd minute of play.

Juvenal Motta was extremely unlucky when he, in the 54th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Micool's Nelsinho de Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruninho Neiva in the 59th minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Miguel da Fonseca left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The JL Sport Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. In the 68th minute, Micool's Durval Paraíba ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sidnei Santos. Sidnei Santos yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. After a rather tough play, JL Sport Clube's Dráuzio Dante got a free kick in the 71st minute. Durval Paraíba made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 74thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Sidnei Santos would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Juvenal Motta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sidnei Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juvenal Motta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Durval Paraíba's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Sidnei Santos firmly grabbed it by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dráuzio Dante during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sidnei Santos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juvenal Motta's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Micool's goal looked a bit too open when Gilmar Alves came free, but Nelsinho de Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sidnei Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juvenal Motta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 96 minutes into the game, Juvenal Motta recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sidnei Santos. Juvenal Motta showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. The Micool supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Micool would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
