The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pedro Luiz Novaes hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Codruț Oblemenco made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Adam Roşu made a precise shot to the right of Juvenal Valadares. Guiratinga's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After a rather tough play, Guiratinga's Vitório Breckenfeld got a free kick in the 54th minute. Juvenal Valadares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Codruț Oblemenco went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Jerônimo Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nunez Chuse having to interfere. Feijo's Nunez Chuse proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Feijo from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jerônimo Fernandes in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nunez Chuse prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nunez Chuse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerônimo Fernandes in the 72nd minute of play. In the 74th minute, Codruț Oblemenco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juvenal Valadares was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. In the 78th minute of the game Arthur Garcia made a throw-in which Raí Catarinense played forward. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felipe do Nascimento during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Feijo getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Felipe do Nascimento hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardino Quintin in the 82nd minute of play forced Guiratinga's goalkeeper Juvenal Valadares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juvenal Valadares came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Feijo's Codruț Oblemenco. But to his dismay, Codruț Oblemenco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. Juvenal Valadares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Codruț Oblemenco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 92 minutes, Vitório Breckenfeld managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guiratinga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vitório Breckenfeld was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 96th match minute, Guiratinga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tarcisio Garcia to maneuver through the defense.
