Through an outstanding action, after 77 minutes, Caio Cosme successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Carlos Fernando Arce succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-2 in the 84th playminute. After having played for 90 minutes, Dinei Correia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itaipulândia Futebol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dinei Correia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Itaipulândia Futebol Club left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Flamengo.
