Paulão Cordeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olavo Mendes, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. When Rubinho Guedes fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lacio's protests and gave Rubinho Guedes a yellow card for diving instead. After a defensive mix-up in Caraquinha FC's zone, Rubinho Guedes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulão Cordeiro came out of the goal and Rubinho Guedes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ruy Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Paulão Cordeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Caraquinha FC's Paulão Cordeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruy Carvalho in the 97th minute of play. 98 minutes into the match, Caraquinha FC's Mateus Mota sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benjamin Barral narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Caraquinha FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Lacio from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
