Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) SAPIRANGA E C's defense didn't have a chance, in the 8th minute, when Tostão Galvão scored to the left of an out of position Fernandinho Esteves, making the score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gavino Tajo in the 12th minute of play forced Terezinha AD's goalkeeper Yan Faria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sandrinho Dracena hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the game, Terezinha AD's Leandro Catarinense nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fernandinho Esteves made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Yan Faria came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by SAPIRANGA E C's 柳适斐. But to his dismay, 柳适斐 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Benjamin Xavier hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Wilson Moreno struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Yan Faria didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SAPIRANGA E C. Wilson Moreno took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yan Faria. Yan Faria dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Fernandinho Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tostão Galvão in the 32nd minute of play. If Pål Sigman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sandrinho Dracena received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fernandinho Esteves came out and tried to block the shot, but Sandrinho Dracena slotted it home off the left post making it 3-3 in the 38th minute. Yan Faria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 柳适斐, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th match minute, Terezinha AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sandrinho Dracena to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tostão Galvão to strike the kick off in the second half. When Tostão Galvão fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Terezinha AD's protests and gave Tostão Galvão a yellow card for diving instead. Tostão Galvão kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. In the 54th minute, Pål Sigman fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The supporters of SAPIRANGA E C booed when Terezinha AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tostão Galvão didn't get a good kick on the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Terezinha AD's goal looked a bit too open when Pål Sigman came free, but Yan Faria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yan Faria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pål Sigman in the 60th minute of play. After having played for 61 minutes, Mazinho Pirani managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SAPIRANGA E C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mazinho Pirani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, SAPIRANGA E C's Fred Lopez got a free kick in the 65th minute. Yan Faria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pål Sigman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Tostão Galvão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute, SAPIRANGA E C's Wilson Moreno dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-4. In the 80th minute Tostão Galvão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernandinho Esteves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Terezinha AD's Yan Faria got control of the ball when Pål Sigman tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Terezinha AD's zone, Pål Sigman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yan Faria came out of the goal and Pål Sigman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Pål Sigman managed to get in a good position for a shot. SAPIRANGA E C's supporters rose to their feet, but Pål Sigman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yan Faria breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 96 minutes into the match, Leandro Catarinense had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fernandinho Esteves. SAPIRANGA E C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leandro Catarinense was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-4. Despite being the better team, SAPIRANGA E C failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
