The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Luisão Madureira made an important save on a dangerous shot by 柳适斐 in the 3rd minute. After 6 played minutes CASTRO ZEN got a freekick which was hit by Caetano Sousa. Pål Sigman received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Luisão Madureira came out and tried to block the shot, but Pål Sigman slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 7th minute. Luisão Madureira made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Pål Sigman sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pål Sigman in the 16th minute of play forced CASTRO ZEN's goalkeeper Luisão Madureira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SAPIRANGA E C's Wilson Moreno got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 23rd minute, Pål Sigman reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Luisão Madureira. The goal made the score 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Pål Sigman managed to get in a good position for a shot. SAPIRANGA E C's supporters rose to their feet, but Pål Sigman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luisão Madureira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 29 minutes, Wilson Moreno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SAPIRANGA E C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilson Moreno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mazinho Pirani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wilson Moreno got free with Luisão Madureira in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pål Sigman spun around in front of the goal 36 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of CASTRO ZEN's goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mazinho Pirani in the 38th minute of play forced CASTRO ZEN's goalkeeper Luisão Madureira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Orlando de Moraes hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. CASTRO ZEN's defense didn't have a chance, in the 42nd minute, when Fred Lopez scored to the left of an out of position Luisão Madureira, making the score, 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

58 minutes into the match, Pål Sigman notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of CASTRO ZEN's Luisão Madureira. Luisão Madureira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of CASTRO ZEN booed when SAPIRANGA E C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Ove Ivarsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 62 minutes, Fabiano Pena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CASTRO ZEN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabiano Pena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pål Sigman in the 64th minute of play forced CASTRO ZEN's goalkeeper Luisão Madureira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Orlando de Moraes during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to CASTRO ZEN getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Orlando de Moraes hit a great ball. In the 68th match minute, CASTRO ZEN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caetano Sousa to maneuver through the defense. In the 69thth minute of the game Pål Sigman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CASTRO ZEN's Luisão Madureira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pål Sigman in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luisão Madureira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luisão Madureira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pål Sigman in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 75th minute, Almir Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 77thth minute of the game Pål Sigman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CASTRO ZEN's Luisão Madureira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 80 minutes into the match, Pål Sigman notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of CASTRO ZEN's Luisão Madureira. Luisão Madureira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 83 played minutes, SAPIRANGA E C's Wilson Moreno shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Luisão Madureira came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SAPIRANGA E C reached it. After a defensive mix-up in CASTRO ZEN's zone, Pål Sigman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luisão Madureira came out of the goal and Pål Sigman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 87 minutes of play, SAPIRANGA E C's Pål Sigman made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luisão Madureira was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 90th minute, Pål Sigman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SAPIRANGA E C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-1. Wilson Moreno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. SAPIRANGA E C walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
