With an all-out effort, Barril do Chaves F.C's Elder de Castro threw himself towards the right post 14 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Frederico Matos, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 17 minutes into the match, Liliza F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Frederico Matos came free, but Elder de Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcinho Freire kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Rodrigo Trevisan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vicente Camargo having to make a save. In the 24th minute, Rodrigo Trevisan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Liliza F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The supporters of Barril do Chaves F.C booed when Liliza F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eurico Alcântara didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eriberto Amaral got free with Elder de Castro in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rodrigo Trevisan in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vicente Camargo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Liliza F.C.'s João Adolfo Aguiar got a free kick in the 35th minute. When Frederico Matos came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Barril do Chaves F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frederico Matos couldn't finish the play. If Joel Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 45 played minutes Barril do Chaves F.C got a freekick which was hit by Eriberto Amaral. 47 minutes into the match, Barril do Chaves F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Leonel Rocha came free, but Vicente Camargo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The crowd rose to their feet as Rodrigo Trevisan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Vicente Camargo. That made the score 0-2 in the 51 minute of play. In the 55thth minute of the game Joel Amaral who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Liliza F.C.'s Elder de Castro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Rodrigo Trevisan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Leonel Barreto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Vicente Camargo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frederico Matos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elder de Castro having to interfere. A collision led to Liliza F.C. getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Olavo de Amorim hit a great ball. When Barril do Chaves F.C's Joel Amaral in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Liliza F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Joel Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barril do Chaves F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Amaral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elder de Castro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 79 minutes into the match, Liliza F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Joel Amaral came free, but Elder de Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frederico Matos might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elder de Castro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frederico Matos ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 81st minute, Jonas Quirino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joel Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elder de Castro having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Leonel Barreto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frederico Matos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
