After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Carlos Augusto Breckenfeld managed to get in a good position for a shot. Flamengo RJ's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Augusto Breckenfeld was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vicente Camargo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 12 minutes into the match, Flamengo RJ's goalkeeper Olívio Vergílio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joel Amaral. Olívio Vergílio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raphael Matos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frederico Matos in the 15th minute of play forced Flamengo RJ's goalkeeper Olívio Vergílio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 21 minutes of play, Barril do Chaves F.C's Frederico Matos made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Olívio Vergílio was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Augusto Toledo in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vicente Camargo saved Barril do Chaves F.C from getting behind. After 34 minutes, Augusto Toledo made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Barril do Chaves F.C's Vicente Camargo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 38th minute Carlos Augusto Breckenfeld shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Camargo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Barril do Chaves F.C's Vicente Camargo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Toledo in the 41st minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Benedito Brasil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Camargo having to interfere. But to his dismay, Frederico Matos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Barril do Chaves F.C's Vicente Camargo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Barril do Chaves F.C from getting a goal against them. Olívio Vergílio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Amaral in the 78th minute of the match. Vicente Camargo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Augusto Toledo in the 80th minute. Carlos Augusto Breckenfeld received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Vicente Camargo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Augusto Toledos short, quick shot in the 94thth minute got Vicente Camargo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Augusto Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luís Fernando Simões fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Camargo having to interfere. Flamengo RJ's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
