After 41 played minutes Felicidale FC got a freekick which was hit by Mauro Paiva. After having played for 45 minutes, Tomás Quintal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético São Jorge's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomás Quintal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Felicidale FC's Mauro Paiva got a free kick in the 46th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomás Quintal to strike the kick off in the second half. Juvenal Pitta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruy Prado having to interfere. Mauro Paiva charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mauro Paiva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 59th match minute, Felicidale FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauro Paiva to maneuver through the defense. In the 62nd minute, Carlos Augusto Donatello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 85th minute, Jerônimo Sampaio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Felicidale FC booed when Atlético São Jorge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luizão Travassos didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee ended the match the Atlético São Jorge players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
