Flamengo RJ's supporters rose to their feet, but Benedito Brasil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nilton Vides breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Olívio Vergílio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guto de Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 21 minutes, Augusto Toledo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Flamengo RJ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Augusto Toledo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 28th minute, Carlos Augusto Breckenfeld left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Flamengo RJ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Carlos Augusto Breckenfeld struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Nilton Vides didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Flamengo RJ. Nilton Vides showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Toledo in the 34th minute of the match. If Augusto Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Augusto Toledos short, quick shot in the 42ndth minute got Nilton Vides to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Benedito Brasil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Nilton Vides tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Joga 10's Nilton Vides played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Fernando Simões in the 53rd minute of play. Guto de Azevedo made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 66thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Olívio Vergílio would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Nilton Vides showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedito Brasil in the 73rd minute of the match. When Wesley Cabral was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 74 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Joga 10's Wesley Cabral got a free kick in the 74th minute. When Benedito Brasil came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Flamengo RJ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benedito Brasil couldn't finish the play. When Eurico Paulista fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Flamengo RJ's protests and gave Eurico Paulista a yellow card for diving instead. Eurico Paulista hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. 95 minutes into the match, Joga 10's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Augusto Breckenfeld came free, but Nilton Vides reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Flamengo RJ had played much better football throughout.
