Marcel Bittencourt might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rodrigo Veloso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. A collision led to Vila da Penha EC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Aílton Fantini hit a great ball. In the 15th minute César Leão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Veloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Devitte FC's César Leão in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vila da Penha EC's goalie prevented a goal. Jacinto de Alcântara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 24th match minute, Devitte FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Dionísio to maneuver through the defense. Vila da Penha EC's Rodrigo Veloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by César Leão in the 29th minute of play. Renato Pernambucano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dinei Torres having to interfere. Devitte FC's Dinei Torres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renato Pernambucano in the 34th minute of play. Dinei Torres came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Vila da Penha EC's Jacinto de Alcântara. But to his dismay, Jacinto de Alcântara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. When César Leão came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Devitte FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that César Leão couldn't finish the play. In the 46th match minute, Devitte FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basílio Tepedino to maneuver through the defense. Vila da Penha EC's Silas Abreu shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 47th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Dinei Torres but with some difficulty. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for César Leão to strike the kick off in the second half. Jacinto de Alcântara struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Dinei Torres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vila da Penha EC. Hortêncio Vides kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcel Bittencourt got free with Rodrigo Veloso in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 72 minutes in the game, César Leão fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Rodrigo Veloso having to interfere. Marcel Bittencourt in the 80thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rodrigo Veloso, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Vila da Penha EC's Rodrigo Veloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by César Leão in the 81st minute of play. Vila da Penha EC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when César Leão 83 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. In the 89th minute, Vila da Penha EC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Marcel Bittencourt fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Vila da Penha EC's zone, César Leão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodrigo Veloso came out of the goal and César Leão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. César Leão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
