The referee gave Jogadorista FC a penalty, 18 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Tales Leme, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ciclón da Itapira's Álvaro Tróia. 0-1. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Jogadorista FC's goalkeeper Afonsinho do Valle, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Victor Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Afonsinho do Valle made a huge save. Pedro Paulo Toscano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victor Seco got free with Afonsinho do Valle in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pedro Paulo Toscano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zézinho Valadares to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Victor Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonsinho do Valle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Jogadorista FC reached it. Afonsinho do Valle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. 83 minutes into the game, Wágner Cosme was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jogadorista FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ciclón da Itapira the free kick.
