In the 3rd minute, Wágner Cosme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 4 played minutes Jogadorista FC got a freekick which was hit by Luizão de Salles. Queimabota FC's Ricardinho Costa couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 5th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Jogadorista FC. If Nico da Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 19 minutes, Zézinho Valadares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jogadorista FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zézinho Valadares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nico da Fonseca struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Afonsinho do Valle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Queimabota FC. Dito de Amaral came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Jogadorista FC's Pedro Paulo Toscano. But to his dismay, Pedro Paulo Toscano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Cipriano de Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Nico da Fonseca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Afonsinho do Valle was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Jogadorista FC's Afonsinho do Valle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Fernando Camargo in the 37th minute of play. Cipriano de Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Afonsinho do Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Nico da Fonseca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nico da Fonseca made a kick off. Pedro Paulo Toscano hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Afonsinho do Valle was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nico da Fonseca showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 57 minute of play. Zé Carlos Lima was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 62 minutes into the match. In the 70th minute of the match Durval da Silveira sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dito de Amaral skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Jogadorista FC's Luizão de Salles got a free kick in the 72nd minute. A hard shot 75 in the game by Nico da Fonseca from a close distance when the talented Afonsinho do Valle managed to make a qualified save. Jogadorista FC's players were relieved. With a little luck, Jogadorista FC's Afonsinho do Valle got control of the ball when Nico da Fonseca tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pedro Paulo Toscano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd minute, Queimabota FC's Nico da Fonseca ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Afonsinho do Valle. Afonsinho do Valle yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. 85 minutes into the match, Queimabota FC's Nico da Fonseca sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Afonsinho do Valle narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 87th match minute, Jogadorista FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wágner Cosme to maneuver through the defense. When Nico da Fonseca came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Queimabota FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nico da Fonseca couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Nico da Fonseca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Afonsinho do Valle was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nico da Fonseca in the 93rd minute of play forced Jogadorista FC's goalkeeper Afonsinho do Valle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Carlos Fernando Camargo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Queimabota FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
