After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Luís Fabiano Travassos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palmeiras's supporters rose to their feet, but Luís Fabiano Travassos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The audience was convinced that Hélder de Brito's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcus Montenegro was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Hélder de Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcus Montenegro having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, RUBRONEGRO CRF's goal looked a bit too open when Hélder de Brito came free, but Marcus Montenegro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. During the 88th minute of the match Claudinei Domingues completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Claudinei Domingues a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Hélder de Brito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to RUBRONEGRO CRF getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Augusto Damião hit a great ball. Hélder de Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew the final whistle, RUBRONEGRO CRF could leave the field as winners, despite Palmeiras having more of the ball for most of the match.
