Aílton Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernani Massa having to interfere. A collision led to San Martim getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Willian Correia hit a great ball. San Martim's Hernani Massa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save San Martim from getting a goal against them. Hernani Massa made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Aílton Nascimento sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Aílton Nascimento managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aliança EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aílton Nascimento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hernani Massa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hílton Chaves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernani Massa having to interfere. San Martim's Hernani Massa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renan Damião in the 18th minute of play. With a little luck, San Martim's Hernani Massa got control of the ball when Aílton Nascimento tried to sneak it across the goal line. Osvaldo Meira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dênis Vale in the 27th minute of the match. A collision led to Aliança EC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Hílton Chaves hit a great ball. Osvaldo Meira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Moreno in the 31st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by André Luiz Vieira during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Aílton Nascimento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Hernani Massa made a huge save. When Hílton Chaves came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Aliança EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hílton Chaves couldn't finish the play. Aílton Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Hernani Massa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Agnaldo Alagoano charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Agnaldo Alagoano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, San Martim's Agnaldo Alagoano got a free kick in the 43rd minute. The audience was convinced that Aílton Nascimento's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hernani Massa was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aílton Nascimento to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Aílton Nascimento notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of San Martim's Hernani Massa. Hernani Massa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A well placed Dênis Vale short distance shot in the 55th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. Hernani Massa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aílton Nascimento's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Manoel Galvão might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hernani Massa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Manoel Galvão ran back to his position shaking his head. After 66 minutes, Matheus Tavares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aliança EC and the San Martim players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Aliança EC's Matheus Tavares got a free kick in the 66th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aílton Nascimento in the 69th minute of play forced San Martim's goalkeeper Hernani Massa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hernani Massa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renan Damião, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gilson Brodel helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of San Martim booed when Aliança EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilson Brodel didn't get a good kick on the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Aílton Nascimento notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of San Martim's Hernani Massa. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind San Martim's goalkeeper Hernani Massa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the referee ended the match the Aliança EC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
