Matheus Vale scored 1-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zé Moreira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Carlos Augusto Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Moreira having to interfere. After having played for 38 minutes, Matheus Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marala SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matheus Vale was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Omega defense, Carlos Augusto Montenegro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zé Moreira. The Omega fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zé Moreira should have stopped the shot. After the first half Marala SC were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlos Augusto Montenegro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Matheus Vale's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 53rdth minute, Zé Moreira skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal.
