Spectators: 5375 (Terracing: 4375, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dinei Eger kicked off to start the match. Conrado Hermes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Penha having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zé Pedro Leão in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Frank Penha saved HOPE FC from getting behind. In the 8th minute, HOPE FC's Hermínio Freire dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 14th minute Zé Pedro Leão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Penha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, HOPE FC's Hermínio Capixaba sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Enrique Pontes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Enrique Pontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermínio Freire in the 19th minute of play. If Sebastião Travassos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in HOPE FC's zone, Conrado Hermes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frank Penha came out of the goal and Conrado Hermes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Frank Penha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Pedro Leão in the 29th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zé Pedro Leão in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. Conrado Hermes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frank Penha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Sebastião Travassos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Frank Penha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 44 minutes, Sérgio Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brazabrantes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sérgio Lima was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Christian de Amorim blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Frank Penha having to make a save. Sebastião Travassos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Frank Penha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Conrado Hermes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Sebastião Travassos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Frank Penha. That made the score 2-2 in the 56 minute of play. In the 59th minute, Sérgio Lima ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Frank Penha was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Dinei Eger struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Enrique Pontes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for HOPE FC. In the 64th match minute, Brazabrantes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sérgio Lima to maneuver through the defense. If Sérgio Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Frank Penha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastião Travassos, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 81st minute, César Aparecido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Sebastião Travassos came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Brazabrantes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastião Travassos couldn't finish the play. Conrado Hermes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christian de Amorim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Frank Penha made a huge save. Sérgio Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Penha having to interfere. Brazabrantes's Christian de Amorim got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded Brazabrantes left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than HOPE FC.
