Spectators: 7286 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1686, VIP seats: 100) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Maurício Cardozo kicked off to start the match. In the 5th match minute, Iaciara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edvaldo de Lara to maneuver through the defense. Jano Esteves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Papi Colorado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maurício Cardozo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jano Esteves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Papi Colorado's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Jano Esteves didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Papi Colorado went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Richard Rezende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Juan Cristóbal í Lon Jacobsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jano Esteves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Papi Colorado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Nova Granada Soccer's Papi Colorado in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Iaciara's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Papi Colorado in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jano Esteves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zé Alves kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Iaciara's goal looked a bit too open when Papi Colorado came free, but Jano Esteves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Papi Colorado put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Jano Esteves. In the 41st minute Emerson Fontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jano Esteves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Papi Colorado put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Jano Esteves. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The wind increased when Papi Colorado made the kick off in the second half. Jano Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Papi Colorado in the 52nd minute of play. In the 56th minute of the match Nova Granada Soccer got a corner. Iaciara's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edson Corrêa ran over to the corner to take the kick. Nova Granada Soccer made a substitution. Mihai Eminescu replaced Papi Colorado. Jano Esteves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mihai Eminescu in the 64th minute of the match. 66 minutes into the game, Mihai Eminescu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jano Esteves. Mihai Eminescu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. Nova Granada Soccer's Juan Cristóbal í Lon Jacobsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Rezende in the 69th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Mihai Eminescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jano Esteves was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Diego Valladares kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. If Richard Rezende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute, Mihai Eminescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, Nova Granada Soccer's Jano Esteves threw himself towards the right post 78 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mihai Eminescu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Adriano Rodrigues's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 84thth minute, Jano Esteves skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A collision led to Nova Granada Soccer getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Cauã Meira hit a great ball. Juan Cristóbal í Lon Jacobsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Rezende in the 88th minute of play. The Nova Granada Soccer supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Nova Granada Soccer would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
