The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling André Netto in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Charles Secco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. BAGACERA's Charles Secco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Netto in the 16th minute of play. In the 16th minute, André Netto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Charles Secco was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 19th minute André Netto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charles Secco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute, Augusto Loureiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 25 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Botafogo! 1-1 came through a penalty shot after 27 played minutes, when BAGACERA:s Válbson Paiva calmly waited for Botafogo:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. Charles Secco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mateus Trancoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Mateus Trancoso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Botafogo's supporters rose to their feet, but Mateus Trancoso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Charles Secco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caio Maciel in the 34th minute of play forced BAGACERA's goalkeeper Charles Secco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Augusto Loureiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Charles Secco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Mateus Trancoso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Caio Maciel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Charles Secco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mateus Trancoso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Botafogo's Mateus Trancoso came free and shot a quick shot against goal 55 minutes in the game, fortunately Charles Secco had problems saving as it came toward the left post. In the 59th minute, Botafogo's Matheus de Queiroz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. 64 minutes into the match, Mateus Trancoso notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of BAGACERA's Charles Secco. Charles Secco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Charles Secco made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Mateus Trancoso sent off a good shot on target. Charles Secco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matheus de Queiroz in the 78th minute of the match. If Percy Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, BAGACERA's Charles Secco got control of the ball when Mateus Trancoso tried to sneak it across the goal line. Matheus de Queiroz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 85 minutes, Mateus Trancoso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Botafogo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mateus Trancoso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Botafogo's Caio Maciel slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Charles Secco. That made the score 2-4 after 87 minutes of play. Mateus Trancoso struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Charles Secco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Botafogo. BAGACERA's Charles Secco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save BAGACERA from getting a goal against them. When the final whistle sounded Botafogo left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than BAGACERA.
