Seating: 1680, VIP seats: 100) Iaciara's Maurício Cardozo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes Iaciara got a freekick which was hit by Richard Rezende. The supporters of Iaciara booed when Grêmio UG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Doriva Prestes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Grêmio UG's Décio Severo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Grêmio UG from getting a goal against them. Jano Esteves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian de Senna in the 27th minute of the match. Fausto Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jano Esteves having to interfere. Maurício Cardozo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Décio Severo made a huge save. In the 40th minute, Maurício Cardozo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Décio Severo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Sílvio Mendes kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
In the 51st minute Maurício Cardozo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Décio Severo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 53 minutes into the game, Matheus Leme was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Grêmio UG's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Iaciara the free kick. Matheus Leme hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Décio Severo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maurício Cardozo's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. If Maurício Cardozo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Grêmio UG's Cristian de Senna in 58 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Jano Esteves guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Grêmio UG's Décio Severo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Rezende in the 61st minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Maurício Cardozo notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Grêmio UG's Décio Severo. Décio Severo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Grêmio UG's Décio Severo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sílvio Mendes in the 66th minute of play. Maurício Cardozo struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Décio Severo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iaciara. If Richard Rezende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81stth minute of the game Maurício Cardozo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grêmio UG's Décio Severo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Richard Rezende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Décio Severo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Richard Rezende sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 92 minutes into the game, Richard Rezende cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Décio Severo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
