The corner went over the outstretched arms of Grêmio UG's goalie and right to Emerson Fontes. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Grêmio UG's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Décio Severo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Papi Colorado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian de Senna in the 14th minute of play forced Nova Granada Soccer's goalkeeper Juan Cristóbal í Lon Jacobsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute, Papi Colorado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Décio Severo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edson Corrêa in the 18th minute. Adriano Rodrigues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Décio Severo having to interfere. Papi Colorado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Décio Severo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 51 minutes, Papi Colorado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nova Granada Soccer's supporters crossed their fingers, but Papi Colorado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Grêmio UG's Décio Severo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adriano Rodrigues in the 52nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Grêmio UG defense, Ramon Cordeara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Décio Severo. The Grêmio UG fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Décio Severo should have stopped the shot. 64 minutes into the match, Grêmio UG's goal looked a bit too open when Mihai Eminescu came free, but Décio Severo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edson Corrêa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Décio Severo having to interfere. Décio Severo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mihai Eminescu in the 71st minute of the match. If Fausto Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adriano Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Nova Granada Soccer's Adriano Rodrigues in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
