When André Aguiar fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored the snaks's protests and gave André Aguiar a yellow card for diving instead. In the 14th minute, Danilo Leite got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. the snaks's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Bernardinho Neto 16 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Júlio Esteves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Siqueira having to interfere. Angelo Siqueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diamantino Magalhães in the 47th minute of play.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Danilo Leite in the 95th minute of play forced the snaks's goalkeeper Adriano Hermes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 3 Setembro EC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
