The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bruno Brasil helped the player get up and apologised. Rubinho Vergílio hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Leandro Dracena hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Bernardinho Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caio Salgado having to interfere. Caio Salgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardinho Neto in the 13th minute of play. When El Vuego's Tytus Dziurowicz in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye 3 Setembro EC's goalie prevented a goal. Tytus Dziurowicz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Siqueira having to interfere. El Vuego's Tytus Dziurowicz got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 41st minute Filipe Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Siqueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tytus Dziurowicz made a kick off. Angelo Siqueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filipe Martins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of El Vuego booed when 3 Setembro EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hudson Coutinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, 3 Setembro EC's Leandro Dracena got a free kick in the 58th minute. With a little luck, 3 Setembro EC's Angelo Siqueira got control of the ball when Tytus Dziurowicz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Filipe Martins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Angelo Siqueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Bernardinho Neto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Caio Salgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kiko Mandrak in the 73rd minute of the match. The supporters of 3 Setembro EC booed when El Vuego was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Álvaro Alagoano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78th minute, Tytus Dziurowicz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Angelo Siqueira was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Bernardinho Neto managed to get in a good position for a shot. 3 Setembro EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardinho Neto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Caio Salgado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Caio Salgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardinho Neto in the 83rd minute of play. If Bernardinho Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute, El Vuego's Filipe Martins ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Angelo Siqueira. Angelo Siqueira yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. In the 94th match minute, El Vuego was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walmir de Almeida to maneuver through the defense. In the 95th minute, Danilo Leite ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Caio Salgado was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The El Vuego supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing El Vuego would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
