Marajazinho's defense didn't have a chance, in the 17th minute, when Jorge de Moraes scored to the left of an out of position Célio Amorim, making the score, 1-0. Luisão de Toledo charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luisão de Toledo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 21st minute, Luisão de Toledo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th minute, Claudinei Sá got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cauã Almeida hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. In the 29th minute Claudinei Sá shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 严林思 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Marajazinho's goalkeeper Célio Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernardo Furtado. After 34 played minutes Marajazinho got a freekick which was hit by Pedrinho de Castro. In the 36th minute, Bernardo Furtado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Agathus fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Bernardo Furtado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Célio Amorim made a huge save. In the 43rdth minute of the game Vivaldo de Azevedo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Agathus's 严林思 was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 47th minute Vivaldo de Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 严林思 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Claudinei Sá to make the kick off. Célio Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Furtado in the 55th minute of play. In the 55th minute, Zé Augusto Messias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedrinho de Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Agathus's Geovani Capixaba got a free kick in the 69th minute. Célio Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge de Moraes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernardo Furtado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Célio Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge de Moraes, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 90th minute, Agathus's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Claudinei Sá fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Vivaldo de Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Agathus had won after a very even match.
