After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Giuseppe Brasil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guarulight F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Giuseppe Brasil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ball Bender breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Guarulight F.C's Vitinho Paes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Carlos Hoffmann in the 12th minute of play. Wilson Figueiredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. William Donato fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ball Bender having to interfere. João Carlos Hoffmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Vitinho Paes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ball Bender made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matías Nascimento in the 21st minute of play. After 22 played minutes Guarulight F.C got a freekick which was hit by Marco de Sousa. When João Carlos Hoffmann fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Floresta EC's protests and gave João Carlos Hoffmann a yellow card for diving instead. After 27 played minutes Floresta EC got a freekick which was hit by João Carlos Hoffmann. Floresta EC's Ball Bender proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Floresta EC from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José Nunes during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 95 played minutes Floresta EC got a freekick which was hit by José Nunes. Floresta EC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Guarulight F.C had won, even though Floresta EC had held more of the ball.
