In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Guarulight F.C's goalkeeper Vitinho Paes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jorge de Moraes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Vitinho Paes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marco de Sousa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Agathus's Bernardo Furtado got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 41 minutes, William Donato managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guarulight F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but William Donato was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Marco de Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Jorge de Moraes made the kick off in the second half. Guarulight F.C's Vitinho Paes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Guarulight F.C from getting a goal against them. Egídio Meira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Edmílson Carneiro fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Agathus's protests and gave Edmílson Carneiro a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Agathus getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Edmílson Carneiro hit a great ball. 84 minutes into the match, Agathus's goal looked a bit too open when William Donato came free, but 严林思 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco de Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 严林思 having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matías Nascimento in the 92nd minute of play forced Agathus's goalkeeper 严林思 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the Guarulight F.C players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
