When Duarte Custódio fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SÃO PAULO FC's protests and gave Duarte Custódio a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, SÃO PAULO FC's Duarte Custódio got a free kick in the 28th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baltazar Cabral got free with Edgard Lopes in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 35th minute, SÃO PAULO FC's Aírton Miranda seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Aírton Miranda the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of SÃO PAULO FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Aírton Miranda had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 36th minute, Aírton Miranda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Error 504 FC's Raimundo Mineiro couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 36th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SÃO PAULO FC. When Baltazar Cabral got free in front of the goal in the 47th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Edgard Lopes was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emílio Montenegro to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes SÃO PAULO FC got a freekick which was hit by Hermínio Lago. Error 504 FC's Raimundo Mineiro couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SÃO PAULO FC. Rogério Leão took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgard Lopes. Edgard Lopes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Emílio Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. If Baltazar Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chicão Ceresso kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Percival Lucas acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 71st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Duarte Custódio. Percival Lucas was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Emílio Montenegro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-2 in the 76 minute of play. Emílio Montenegro was extremely unlucky when he, in the 82nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 86th match minute, SÃO PAULO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeremias de Amorim to maneuver through the defense. Error 504 FC's Baltazar Cabral got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dráuzio Veiga kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the game, Error 504 FC's Marquinhos Viana nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edgard Lopes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-2. In the 95th minute Marquinhos Viana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgard Lopes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rogério Leão scored 7-2 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edgard Lopes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Error 504 FC had played much better football throughout.
