Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Tricolor do Morumba's Acácio Neiva started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th minute Acácio Neiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cauã Dantas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cauã Dantas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Acácio Neiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. A collision led to Juiz de Fora Team getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Mauro Pombal hit a great ball. In the 14th minute of the match Edvaldo Baptista sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adilson de Senna skillfully saved the ball. After 15 played minutes Tricolor do Morumba got a freekick which was hit by João Augusto Quirino. In the 16th minute, Rodriguinho Cardozo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adilson de Senna was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Conrado Moreno in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adilson de Senna prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rodriguinho Cardozo struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Adilson de Senna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Juiz de Fora Team. Juiz de Fora Team's Evaristo de Alcântara got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wesley Pinheiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cauã Dantas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Acácio Neiva in the 37th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Juiz de Fora Team's Evaristo de Alcântara got a free kick in the 37th minute. Cauã Dantas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Acácio Neiva in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th match minute, Juiz de Fora Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edvaldo Baptista to maneuver through the defense. Humberto Pimenta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Cauã Dantas made a huge save. Rodriguinho Cardozo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute, Humberto Pimenta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rodriguinho Cardozo to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ademir Toledo in the 56th minute of play forced Juiz de Fora Team's goalkeeper Cauã Dantas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 58 minutes, Acácio Neiva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tricolor do Morumba and the Juiz de Fora Team players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Tricolor do Morumba getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Acácio Neiva hit a great ball. Conrado Moreno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 64 minutes into the match, Juiz de Fora Team's goal looked a bit too open when Acácio Neiva came free, but Cauã Dantas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Evaristo de Alcântara hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Juiz de Fora Team's Cauã Dantas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Acácio Neiva in the 68th minute of play. Conrado Moreno took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adilson de Senna. Adilson de Senna dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 76 minutes into the game, Jano da Silva cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Adilson de Senna was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ademir Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ademir Toledo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cauã Dantas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. Cauã Dantas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Acácio Neiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Conrado Morenos short, quick shot in the 95thth minute got Adilson de Senna to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Rodriguinho Cardozo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Juiz de Fora Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodriguinho Cardozo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adilson de Senna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Juiz de Fora Team players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
