Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) CORMERCIAL FC's Gonçalo Vasconcelos started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the match, Putiri's Fabiano Gomes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Perivaldo de Queiroz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Valdo Prestes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Perivaldo de Queiroz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. Aílton Sergipano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonçalo Vasconcelos in the 7th minute of play. If Osvaldinho Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Valdo Prestes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Putiri's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdo Prestes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Perivaldo de Queiroz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Moisés Mello kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Putiri's zone, Ernani Berger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aílton Sergipano came out of the goal and Ernani Berger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ernani Berger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 20 minutes into the match, Putiri's goal looked a bit too open when Gonçalo Vasconcelos came free, but Aílton Sergipano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dráusio Mello charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dráusio Mello the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dráusio Mello kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. CORMERCIAL FC's Perivaldo de Queiroz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldinho Linhares in the 24th minute of play. Dráusio Mello was shown his second yellow card after 25 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Dráusio Mello hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Valdo Prestes made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 26thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Perivaldo de Queiroz would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. If Osvaldinho Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Valdo Prestes sped through CORMERCIAL FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Perivaldo de Queiroz. A collision led to CORMERCIAL FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Ernani Berger hit a great ball. Putiri's Aílton Sergipano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernani Berger in the 41st minute of play. Aílton Sergipano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ernani Berger went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Valdo Prestes made the kick off in the second half. Aílton Sergipano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ernani Berger in the 60th minute. In the 60th minute, CORMERCIAL FC's Ernani Berger ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aílton Sergipano. Aílton Sergipano yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Joélson de Souza hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Osvaldinho Linhares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Perivaldo de Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Putiri defense, Ernani Berger kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aílton Sergipano. The Putiri fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aílton Sergipano should have stopped the shot. In the 77th minute, Putiri's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ernani Berger fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With a little luck, Putiri's Aílton Sergipano got control of the ball when Ernani Berger tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Ernani Berger kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aílton Sergipano. That made the score 1-5 in the 81 minute of play. If Valdo Prestes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ernani Berger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Aílton Sergipano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th minute Valdo Prestes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Perivaldo de Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. CORMERCIAL FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
