An unexpected shot in the 13th minute by Hugo Proença got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Afonso Couto hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Poacos's goalkeeper Carlos Peres, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 24 minutes of play, Poacos's Hugo Proença made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Diamantino Braga was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mauro Jacinto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Peres read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dedê Dantas in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Peres prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Real Imirim EC booed when Poacos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcinho Faria didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Peres stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dedê Dantas's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Claudinho Zanette struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Carlos Peres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Imirim EC. 41 minutes into the match, Poacos's goal looked a bit too open when Dedê Dantas came free, but Carlos Peres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dedê Dantas took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Peres. Carlos Peres dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. A collision led to Poacos getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Carlos Peres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinho Zanette, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. The referee ignored Poacos's protests and gave Dida Campidelis a yellow card for diving instead. Dida Campidelis hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After having played for 87 minutes, Mauro Jacinto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Imirim EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauro Jacinto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 91st minute Real Imirim EC were awarded a corner. Fernandão França went to the cornerflag to take it. If Mauro Jacinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Real Imirim EC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Poacos.
