Spectators: 7240 (Terracing: 5432, Seating: 1665, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Emílio Montenegro started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute, Dráuzio Veiga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 10 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Emílio Montenegro sped through Juiz de Fora Team's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cauã Dantas. Evaristo de Alcântara hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Cauã Dantas came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by SÃO PAULO FC's Emílio Montenegro. But to his dismay, Emílio Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After some careless play in the Juiz de Fora Team defense, Dráuzio Veiga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cauã Dantas. The Juiz de Fora Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cauã Dantas should have stopped the shot. In the 24th minute, Dráuzio Veiga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cauã Dantas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Edgard Lopes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodriguinho Cardozo in the 27th minute of the match. Rodriguinho Cardozo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Edgard Lopes came out and tried to block the shot, but Rodriguinho Cardozo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 30th minute. Edgard Lopes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Penha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute, Juiz de Fora Team's Rodriguinho Cardozo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-4. In the 40th minute of the match, Mauro Pombal tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Edgard Lopes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. SÃO PAULO FC's Edgard Lopes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save SÃO PAULO FC from getting a goal against them. In the 47th minute, Evaristo de Alcântara reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Edgard Lopes. The goal made the score 4-4. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 4-4 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rodriguinho Cardozo made a kick off. After a rather tough play, SÃO PAULO FC's Duarte Custódio got a free kick in the 52nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conrado Moreno in the 55th minute of play forced SÃO PAULO FC's goalkeeper Edgard Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgard Lopes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conrado Moreno in the 57th minute of the match. Dráuzio Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cauã Dantas having to interfere. In the 68th minute of the game, SÃO PAULO FC got a penalty. The shot went straight in by the left post. Dráuzio Veiga struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Cauã Dantas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SÃO PAULO FC. Edgard Lopes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Pombal, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Dráuzio Veiga scored 4-6 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cauã Dantas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. SÃO PAULO FC's Edgard Lopes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Pombal in the 80th minute of play. Luiz Penha charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luiz Penha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dráuzio Veiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Cauã Dantas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Conrado Moreno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Juiz de Fora Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Conrado Moreno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgard Lopes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 85th minute, Rodriguinho Cardozo made a precise shot to the right of Edgard Lopes. SÃO PAULO FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-6. After 90 minutes of play, Juiz de Fora Team's Rodriguinho Cardozo made it 6-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edgard Lopes was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Emílio Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 97th match minute, Juiz de Fora Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jano da Silva to maneuver through the defense. Emílio Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 99th minute. Cauã Dantas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SÃO PAULO FC.
