Mauro Jacinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Perivaldo de Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claudinho Zanette sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind CORMERCIAL FC's goalkeeper Perivaldo de Queiroz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 17 minutes into the match, CORMERCIAL FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dedê Dantas came free, but Perivaldo de Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute, Mauro Jacinto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Perivaldo de Queiroz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Ernani Berger who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Diamantino Braga when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The corner led to CORMERCIAL FC's Manfredo Passos getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Ernani Berger struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Diamantino Braga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CORMERCIAL FC. CORMERCIAL FC's Perivaldo de Queiroz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilian Gaúcho in the 37th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dedê Dantas in the 39th minute of play forced CORMERCIAL FC's goalkeeper Perivaldo de Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in CORMERCIAL FC's zone, Dedê Dantas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Perivaldo de Queiroz came out of the goal and Dedê Dantas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Allan do Valle in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Perivaldo de Queiroz saved CORMERCIAL FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dedê Dantas in the 46th minute of play forced CORMERCIAL FC's goalkeeper Perivaldo de Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Allan do Valle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Real Imirim EC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 52nd minute, Real Imirim EC's Fernandão França seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Fernandão França the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Real Imirim EC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Fernandão França had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 52nd minute, one of Real Imirim EC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Real Imirim EC. Real Imirim EC's Diamantino Braga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernani Berger in the 65th minute of play. When CORMERCIAL FC's Ernani Berger in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Real Imirim EC's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Real Imirim EC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Reinaldo de Castro hit a great ball. Gonçalo Vasconcelos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 70 minutes into the game, Ramón Batista was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CORMERCIAL FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Imirim EC the free kick. In the 70th match minute, CORMERCIAL FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramón Batista to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Giovanni do Nascimento during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 72 played minutes Real Imirim EC got a freekick which was hit by Giovanni do Nascimento. Real Imirim EC's Claudinho Zanette got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Gonçalo Vasconcelos came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the CORMERCIAL FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gonçalo Vasconcelos couldn't finish the play. Claudinho Zanette sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82ndth minute of the game Gonçalo Vasconcelos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Real Imirim EC's Diamantino Braga was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Real Imirim EC booed when CORMERCIAL FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernani Berger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Diamantino Braga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernani Berger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Claudinho Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 93rd minute Gonçalo Vasconcelos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diamantino Braga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ernani Berger in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Diamantino Braga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ernani Berger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diamantino Braga having to interfere. Real Imirim EC played a much better game than CORMERCIAL FC and deserved their victory. The CORMERCIAL FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
