Spectators: 7113 (Terracing: 5429, Seating: 1664, VIP seats: 20) Ezequiel Rosa started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Geovanni Leão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Telmo Guimarães in the 4th minute of the match. Olavo Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovanni Leão having to interfere. Geovanni Leão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ezequiel Rosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marquinhos Sena got free with Luiz Gustavo Faria in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 10th match minute, EC Bahia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amadeu Pires to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to EC Bahia getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Amadeu Pires hit a great ball. In the 16th minute, Telmo Guimarães ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Geovanni Leão was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 19th minute, Telmo Guimarães got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ezequiel Rosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovanni Leão having to interfere. After 24 played minutes Jangada got a freekick which was hit by Vito Ferreira. In the 25th minute, Ezequiel Rosa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The EC Bahia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Telmo Guimarães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Geovanni Leão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 31 played minutes EC Bahia got a freekick which was hit by Diego Barbosa. Geovanni Leão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olavo Ferreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Geovanni Leão didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ezequiel Rosa went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marquinhos Sena couldn't finish the play. After 83 minutes, Carlos Vale mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jangada and the EC Bahia players grew even worse after the yellow card. 83 minutes into the game, one of Jangada:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 85 minutes, EC Bahia's Diego Barbosa got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Geovanni Leão. In the 90th minute, Válbson Dracena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 93 played minutes EC Bahia got a freekick which was hit by Amadeu Pires. When the final whistle sounded EC Bahia left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Jangada.
