Luizinho Luz came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Jangada's Marquinhos Sena. But to his dismay, Marquinhos Sena quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 27 minutes of play, Jangada's Marquinhos Sena made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luizinho Luz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Geovanni Leão made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Joel Veloso sent off a good shot on target. Luizinho Luz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinho Donato in the 32nd minute of play. When Jangada's Claudinho Donato in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye E.C. SERRASUL's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 41 minutes, Marquinhos Sena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jangada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marquinhos Sena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sebastião Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jangada's Marquinhos Sena got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luizinho Luz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marquinhos Sena in the 48th minute of play. Jangada's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Oscar Amaral in the 50th minute. Jangada's Oscar Amaral was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Luizinho Luz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Acácio Castro to strike the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the match, E.C. SERRASUL's goalkeeper Luizinho Luz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marquinhos Sena. Geovanni Leão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Acácio Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Marquinhos Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Luizinho Luz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinho Donato in the 63rd minute of the match. Geovanni Leão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Acácio Castro in the 65th minute of the match. Luizinho Luz made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Marquinhos Sena sent off a good shot on target. Válbson Dracena hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Marquinhos Sena was extremely unlucky when he, in the 82nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 84 minutes into the match, Jangada's goal looked a bit too open when Acácio Castro came free, but Geovanni Leão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Acácio Castro in the 85th minute of play forced Jangada's goalkeeper Geovanni Leão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marquinhos Sena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind E.C. SERRASUL's goalkeeper Luizinho Luz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marquinhos Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luizinho Luz having to interfere.
