An unexpectedly hard shot by José Augusto Furlan in the 18th minute of play forced Jangada's goalkeeper Geovanni Leão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vânderson Botelho hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute of the match José Vítor Tande shot from a long distance. After a defensive mix-up in MatadorDeOnça's zone, Claudinho Donato stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulysses Velasco came out of the goal and Claudinho Donato tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Marquinhos Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rdth minute of the game Claudinho Donato who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MatadorDeOnça's Ulysses Velasco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 72 minutes, Alfredinho Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MatadorDeOnça's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredinho Barros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 78 minutes into the match, Alfredinho Barros dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Geovanni Leão, 1-2. In the 82nd minute, MatadorDeOnça's Alfredinho Barros ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Geovanni Leão. Geovanni Leão yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. If Alfredinho Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Augusto Furlan got free with Geovanni Leão in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marquinhos Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. MatadorDeOnça played a much better game than Jangada and deserved their victory. The Jangada players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
