Kauan Madureira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Filipe Pitta went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Zé Freire hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Jaguaribara EC's Régis Braga got control of the ball when Reginaldo Mazza tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cássio Lucas struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Kauan Madureira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jaguaribara EC. If Filipe Pitta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Régis Braga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Murilo Teles in the 20th minute of the match. After having played for 22 minutes, Filipe Pitta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jaguaribara EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filipe Pitta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Filipe Pitta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kauan Madureira having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Pedro II FC's goal looked a bit too open when Filipe Pitta came free, but Kauan Madureira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Murilo Teles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kiko Valladares in the 37th minute of play forced Pedro II FC's goalkeeper Kauan Madureira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Reginaldo Mazza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 46th minute Murilo Teles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Régis Braga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Pedro II FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Jaguaribara EC were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Murilo Teles made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Jaguaribara EC's Kiko Valladares sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kauan Madureira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 57 minutes into the game, Pedro Luís Siqueira recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kauan Madureira. After a defensive mix-up in Jaguaribara EC's zone, Murilo Teles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Régis Braga came out of the goal and Murilo Teles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match was over Jaguaribara EC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Pedro II FC throughout the match.
