In the 9th minute, Reginaldo Mazza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Armandinho Pontes might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kauan Madureira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Armandinho Pontes ran back to his position shaking his head. Tião Araújo struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Kauan Madureira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Missioneiros SC. If Armandinho Pontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 19 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Missioneiros SC! Edmílson Coutinho shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tião Araújo in the 24th minute of play forced Pedro II FC's goalkeeper Kauan Madureira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 26 minutes into the game, Pedro II FC's Murilo Teles nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Geovani Neiva made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Armandinho Pontes came free with the goalkeeper in the 31st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Kauan Madureira could save by the left post. When Armandinho Pontes came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Missioneiros SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armandinho Pontes couldn't finish the play. In the 38th minute, Tião Araújo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kauan Madureira. The goal made the score 1-1. If Tião Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Pedro II FC's zone, Armandinho Pontes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kauan Madureira came out of the goal and Armandinho Pontes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tião Araújo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Zé Freire got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 62ndth minute of the game Tião Araújo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pedro II FC's Kauan Madureira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 62nd minute, Benjamin Freitas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Reginaldo Mazza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zé Freire during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 72nd minute, Zé Freire hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kauan Madureira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tião Araújo in the 73rd minute of play. Reginaldo Mazza struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Geovani Neiva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pedro II FC. Reginaldo Mazza in the 87thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Geovani Neiva, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Tião Araújo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 91 minutes into the match, Pedro II FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tião Araújo came free, but Kauan Madureira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st minute, Tião Araújo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Missioneiros SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Armandinho Pontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kauan Madureira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tião Araújo in the 96th minute of play. Missioneiros SC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
