The supporters of Jaguaribara EC booed when MatadorDeOnça was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Quadros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ulysses Velasco made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Filipe Pitta sent off a good shot on target. In the 36thth minute of the game Alfredinho Barros who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jaguaribara EC's Régis Braga was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 37 played minutes Jaguaribara EC got a freekick which was hit by Cássio Lucas. 41 minutes into the match, MatadorDeOnça's goalkeeper Ulysses Velasco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Filipe Pitta. Alfredinho Barros's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Régis Braga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. The MatadorDeOnça fans' excitement grew in the 46th match minute when MatadorDeOnça's José Augusto Furlan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kiko Valladares was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 55 minutes, Alfredinho Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MatadorDeOnça's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredinho Barros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If José Augusto Furlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. MatadorDeOnça's José Augusto Furlan got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Régis Braga was out of position in the 60 minute of play, and Alfredinho Barros capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alfredinho Barros really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, José Augusto Furlan put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Régis Braga. Régis Braga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredinho Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Jaguaribara EC's zone, José Augusto Furlan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Régis Braga came out of the goal and José Augusto Furlan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alfredinho Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Régis Braga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th match minute, Jaguaribara EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Luís Siqueira to maneuver through the defense. In the 84thth minute of the game Alfredinho Barros who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jaguaribara EC's Régis Braga was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jaguaribara EC's Pedro Luís Siqueira got his second yellow card of the match in the 91st minute. The referee ordered Pedro Luís Siqueira off the ground. Pedro Luís Siqueira kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Régis Braga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredinho Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. MatadorDeOnça had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
