Michel Borges had in the 54thth minute some difficulties stopping Erivaldo Oliveira's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. When Aníbal Campidelis fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barreto F.C.'s protests and gave Aníbal Campidelis a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Barreto F.C. getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Breno Pereira took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Geovani Neiva. Geovani Neiva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aníbal Campidelis in the 86th minute of play forced Missioneiros SC's goalkeeper Geovani Neiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute Diamantino Trigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michel Borges saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 1-2 became the score in the 95th minute when Tião Araújo elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Missioneiros SC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
