Diguinho Damião fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luizinho Luz having to interfere. Joel Veloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Kiko Hermes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 31 minutes into the game, Fernandinho Bertassi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. E.C. SERRASUL's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave s.c. resenha e.c the free kick. In the 31st minute, Fernandinho Bertassi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. E.C. SERRASUL's Luizinho Luz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diguinho Damião in the 33rd minute of play. Diguinho Damião received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Luizinho Luz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as E.C. SERRASUL's Acácio Castro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kiko Hermes. That made the score 2-0 after 45 minutes of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Gilberto Alves made the kick off in the second half. Diguinho Damião fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luizinho Luz having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilberto Alves in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luizinho Luz saved E.C. SERRASUL from getting behind. After 58 minutes of play, s.c. resenha e.c's Diguinho Damião made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luizinho Luz was left in no man's land by his defense there! E.C. SERRASUL's Luizinho Luz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Alves in the 65th minute of play. Diguinho Damião might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luizinho Luz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Diguinho Damião ran back to his position shaking his head. 68 minutes into the match, s.c. resenha e.c's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Veloso came free, but Kiko Hermes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Acácio Castro in the 73rd minute of play forced s.c. resenha e.c's goalkeeper Kiko Hermes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Diguinho Damião had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luisinho Campidelis kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Diguinho Damião sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute, Acácio Castro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kiko Hermes was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1.
