After having played for 11 minutes, Zé Paulo Brodel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marsal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zé Paulo Brodel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 12 minutes into the match, Marcus Domingues notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Pedro II FC's Kauan Madureira. Kauan Madureira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Murilo Teles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Pedro II FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Benjamin Freitas hit a great ball. Marcus Domingues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kauan Madureira having to interfere. The supporters of Marsal booed when Pedro II FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Magno Tande didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rodriguinho Ramalho, 28 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Marcus Domingues scored 0-2 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kauan Madureira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kauan Madureira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcus Domingues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36thth minute of the game Marcus Domingues who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pedro II FC's Kauan Madureira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Murilo Teles kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Robinho Bezerra. That made the score 1-2 in the 38 minute of play. After 41 played minutes Marsal got a freekick which was hit by Marcus Domingues. Marcus Domingues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kauan Madureira having to interfere. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After a rather tough play, Pedro II FC's Magno Tande got a free kick in the 61st minute. Marcus Domingues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Reginaldo Mazza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pedro II FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Reginaldo Mazza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robinho Bezerra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Robinho Bezerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reginaldo Mazza in the 69th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the match, Murilo Teles notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Marsal's Robinho Bezerra. Robinho Bezerra was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kauan Madureira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zé Paulo Brodel in the 75th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Zé Paulo Brodel could shoot a difficult shot in the 82nd minute, which Kauan Madureira however easily saved by the left post. Magno Tande sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcus Domingues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kauan Madureira having to interfere. Magno Tande was shown his second yellow card after 90 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Marsal booed when Pedro II FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Magno Tande didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 94 played minutes Pedro II FC got a freekick which was hit by Edmílson Coutinho. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
