In the 10th match minute, TuDi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Eduardo Cerezo to maneuver through the defense. Bebeto Torres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agnaldo Hermes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Agnaldo Hermes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bebeto Torres having to interfere. If Hortêncio Eger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bebeto Torres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hortêncio Eger in the 47th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luiz Eduardo Cerezo to make the kick off. In the 95th match minute, Riograndense FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zézinho Rosa to maneuver through the defense. The Riograndense FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
