The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabinho Alvarenga during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fabinho Alvarenga hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. America PE's Amílton Dracena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabinho Alvarenga in the 9th minute of play. After 10 minutes of play, Amigo do Lagarteichon's Alessandro Mangueira made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Amílton Dracena was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fabinho Alvarenga scored 0-2 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Amílton Dracena, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 21 minutes into the game, Amigo do Lagarteichon's Manoel Eger nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Amílton Dracena made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Enrique Xavier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabinho Alvarenga in the 31st minute of play forced America PE's goalkeeper Amílton Dracena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amílton Dracena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabinho Alvarenga in the 32nd minute of the match. Alessandro Mangueira took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amílton Dracena. Amílton Dracena dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. A collision led to Amigo do Lagarteichon getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Alessandro Mangueira hit a great ball. America PE's Diogo Soeiro shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 40th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Bruno da Fonseca but with some difficulty. Silas Sousa kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. In the 49th minute Fabinho Alvarenga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amílton Dracena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alessandro Mangueira to strike the kick off in the second half. Manfredo Moreno kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. In the 53rd minute of the match Tomás Dracena sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bruno da Fonseca skillfully saved the ball. After 57 played minutes Amigo do Lagarteichon got a freekick which was hit by Fabinho Alvarenga. Enrique Xavier struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Bruno da Fonseca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for America PE. Bruno da Fonseca stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Enrique Xavier's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Haroldo Quadros got free with Amílton Dracena in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. During the 72nd minute of the match Fabinho Alvarenga completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Fabinho Alvarenga a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Amigo do Lagarteichon getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Fabinho Alvarenga hit a great ball. Tomás Dracena's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bruno da Fonseca read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Enrique Xavier scored 1-5 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bruno da Fonseca, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. America PE's Amílton Dracena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manoel Eger in the 79th minute of play. Bruno da Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrique Xavier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bruno da Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Xavier in the 85th minute of play. After some careless play in the America PE defense, Manoel Eger kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amílton Dracena. The America PE fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amílton Dracena should have stopped the shot. Haroldo Quadros succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-7 in the 94th playminute. In the 97th minute Dagoberto Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno da Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Amigo do Lagarteichon could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than America PE throughout the match.
