Salsas's Carlos Fernando Hermes got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 32nd minute Roger Aguiar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramón Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Juarês Mello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roger Aguiar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ramón Godoi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. When Salsas's Carlos Fernando Hermes in the 48th minute got a chance for a shot 48th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The wind increased when Carlos Fernando Hermes made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, DIABLOS RS F.C.'s Roger Aguiar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ramón Godoi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Cícero Dracena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roger Aguiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramón Godoi having to interfere. Carlos Fernando Hermes hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. After having played for 63 minutes, Cícero Dracena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DIABLOS RS F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Cícero Dracena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 65th minute of the match Emerson Godoi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ramón Godoi skillfully saved the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Fernando Hermes in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulão Favoretto saved DIABLOS RS F.C. from getting behind. Gugu Furtado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 91st minute, Carlos Fernando Hermes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Salsas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. 95 minutes into the match, Carlos Fernando Hermes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paulão Favoretto. DIABLOS RS F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos Fernando Hermes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0.
