Matheus Prado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to TuDi FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Sílvio Luiz Abreu hit a great ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luiz Eduardo Cerezo was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Toninho Linares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 53 minutes into the match, Goias EC's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Eduardo Cerezo came free, but Lúcio Teles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 76 minutes, Toninho Linares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Goias EC and the TuDi FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 76 played minutes Goias EC got a freekick which was hit by Toninho Linares. In the 81st minute, Osvaldinho Valadares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lúcio Teles was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. TuDi FC's Bebeto Torres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matheus Prado in the 85th minute of play. In the 87th match minute, Goias EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matheus Prado to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldinho Valadares in the 93rd minute of play forced Goias EC's goalkeeper Lúcio Teles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Goias EC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
