The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Conrado Arantes during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 72nd minute, one of Gordo Feio FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Gordo Feio FC. Joélson Fernandez had in the 75thth minute some difficulties stopping Alex Queiroz's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 79th minute, Jairo Valle ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nelsinho Macedo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. After 91 minutes, Luiz Pinheiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Liberato EC and the Gordo Feio FC players grew even worse after the yellow card.
